I’m Zoey!
(she/her)

I’m so excited that you’ve found your way to Kinfolk Postpartum - I’m here to help. I am a postpartum doula (certified through BADT) with a passion for interpersonal relationships, community care, & nurturing the next generation. With over a decade of experience in childcare and early childhood education, I came to the world of postpartum care with an abundance of compassion and understanding for the parenting experience.

As your postpartum doula, I will help guide you, whether as a new or experienced parent, through the transition of early postpartum by offering in-home care for you and your newborn.

I was born in northern CA and moved to CO as a college student over ten years ago. I spent 5 years after college working in early childhood education, and spent time doing sex work as well. While in education, I became impassioned with the work of learning about the shortcomings of the American educational system and caregiving as a profession/responsibility. Within the sex industry, I became aware of the importance of sex work and sex worker rights, and I continuously experienced & witnessed the harmful effects of patriarchal and capitalist ideals. Sex work and parenting/caregiving intersect in many ways, including but not limited to conversations around:
bodily autonomy and individual agency, societal norms and expectations, gender norms & power dynamics, and reproductive rights.

I am the luckiest pet mom/companion to my most favorite animal to grace this earth (Gaia, my chihuahua soulmate). Some of my favorite things outside of work include playing volleyball (inexpertly) in the park on sunny days, skiing (expertly) on spring powder days, collecting beautiful and primarily aesthetic (sometimes useful) stationary, and connecting with my kinfolk over food & quality conversation.

My current offering is supporting parents, especially that fall under the LGBTQ+ umbrella (although I also love working with allies) in their postpartum space. I look forward to expanding this to include a diverse range of offerings that more fully support my mission to make life easier for people raising children, and to create a world that is more equal and accessible.
